Increased Business Opportunities
In order for businesses to expand and stay in contact with their customers, they have turned to the internet and decided to use that, in order to track orders and pass business work to and from co-workers etc. Businesses are also capable of sending work via email, to other branches of the company and, thus, business opportunities are increased. However there can be problems with technology, and what with companies relying so heavily on technology, it could be bad if something breaks.
Another massive business opportunity you have missed out on is internet shopping, this creates a much bigger audience to sell for as lots of people do not have the time to shop or there might not be a shop very local so internet shopping creates a much bigger audience to sell too.
ReplyDeleteI also believe that virtual communities within a business are very significant as they create a platform of communication between customers and the business, this could create a more personal vibe from the company and encourage sales.
ReplyDeleteThough one bad thing about internet shopping and self-service enviroments is that because the online store does so well, the actual store seems small in comparison as the internet shopping profits are much greater. As people are needed less in the shop, unemployment will increase, creating a poor economy as more and more people are unemployed.
ReplyDeleteI think that what the above people have said is correct, and I fully agree with the points that they have made, regarding increased business opportunities. Adam made a good point, about internet shopping, and yes, it does create a larger audience because lots of people will use it due to it being efficient and an effective way of shopping. Eleanor also pointed out another factor of increased business opportunities that I forgot about, and I agree with it fully, as virtual communities allow customers to become more personal and associated with the business or company. Moreover, what Nathan said is accurate, because of what businesses are now capable of online, the actual stores and workers are suffering greatly, due to the need of not having to leave home to actually purchase something. In my opinion, I think what Adam, Eleanor and Nathan have said has enlightened me more on Increased business opportunities.
